Saint Salvator

The Latin word salvator means saviour in English and churches consecrated to the Saint Salvator are therefore directly dedicated to Jesus Christ, who is known as the Saviour of the World (Salvator mundi) in Christian teachings. The Jesuits in particular dedicated their buildings to the Saint Salvator (such as St. Salvator’s church within the Klementinum in Prague), but other orders did as well (what was originally a Paulian church, St. Salvator in Salvator Street).
